Everyday the mainstream news (and not just Fox Network who owns Idol) gives us updates about these programs. The newspapers and CNN feel that we have to continuously get these "breaking" stories.
If a person loves these programs they don’t need the recaps and updates. If a person doesn’t care for these programs he/she won’t watch it and probably doesn’t want to hear about it always. Can’t the media figure out that people either follow these programs or couldn’t care less about who the next singer or dancer is?
hi tom if you hadnt noticed already todays news is all about the ratings. so american idol which has huge ratings will get coverage on mainstream news. stars gets coverage because of its ratings. but if it falls off they willl drop it. contrary to the past todays news wont have any stories that are anti american an very few stories about other countries unless we are there,. they claim no one wants to see it. you definitely wont see many stories critical of the usa

I have no idea. Don’t watch either of the junk shows. And could care less about any updates. But someone must because they are making money with them. Which is what they care about.

Because it’s "entertainment" news. The Media thinks we want to know from them. And they’ll continue to do that as long as it’s a slow news day.
