I have prom in a month. My girlfriend is a huge dancer, but the problem with me is that I can't dance because I've never been to a dance before in my whole life. I live in northern New Jersey. So anywhere close to here where I can get lessons. Or tell me a website that has dance lessons. I want to learn how to dance to techno, hip-hop, rap etc.
If you can't find (or can't afford) a studio near you, don't be ashamed to ask male friends who know how to dance to teach you, or even your girlfriend if you can't find any guys. If your girlfriend is a big dancer, she would probably be more than happy to help you out.

The only web site i would recommend would be youtube.com, because they teach basic things there and they also have some really nifty moves and lifts to practice and show off. also you said you date is a dance nerd… well just get your date to help you.
