What i wanted to know was what do the dwts dancer get if there dancing stars partners win
They get paid a little more because they are on the show longer, but that is about it. It was noted that they are paid $5,000 for every episode they compete in and small additional amounts for the "pro dances" that come up here and there. (You will notice that some of them are never seen again until the finalee after they are voted off, and some are on every week doing the pro dances).
They get the mirror ball trophy, lots and lots of exposure. They are on talk shows and such…wich are all paid engagements.
So they really do not get much else from ABC, but they get their name out there and opprtunities elsewhere.
Look at Mark Ballas. Other than in the ballroom arena, I had never heard of him. Now he has little girls putting posters of him on their walls and tons of exposure for his band. Karina Smirnoff is hosting E! Macksim is choreographing a vegas show. On and On.
Shiny disco ball trophy. They also get more recognition from being on the show and get other gigs that they normally wouldn’t have. It’s the exposure they get on DWTS.
