i want to learn to dance hip hop, but im 13 and have never danced before, Is it ok to start ?

I want to learn hip hop dancing, But im 13 and have never danced like that before. Do you think its ok for me to start as a beginner? Or is it a bit strange ?

Want to learn to dance hip hop. Help?

I’ve got no problem slow dancing or keeping rhythm, I play multiple instruments and that comes naturally. But…I’m sick of going to parties and doing that same step dance move to hip hop songs (basically that move in the movie Hitch). I’d like to learn to dance hip hop. Any recommendations? Moves you recommend starting with? I know taking lessons would be best and would like to soon, but to start what should I do?

Dancing kinda is a feeling you have to be comfortable with.

I guess the best to start out with from easy to harder..

Airwalk, gliding, waving, popping&locking, tutting and then trying integrating it with some c-walk(V, heeltoe, shuffle) maybe some jerk ( variation on reject looks ok)… and if you are getting good do some KRUMPING!.. though depends on where you are a more clean version is usually recommended people don’t want to start thinking you’re about to fight someone!

How can I learn to dance in any situation?

I’m 21 and in college and I can’t go clubbing/half of the other stuff my friends do b/c I can’t dance! Like not at all. How do I learn to not make a fool of myself? I’m probably the most uncoordinated person in the world and I have no body awareness.

Freestyle in private to get you own groove. To be able to dance in any situation in public you will have to practice dancing to any song in private, and then you won’t look like a fool. Fear of the unknown is what holds you back. Get familiar with music and your body moving to any given beat and you won’t feel like a fool or look like one either. You may try taking a dance class, but you might not be as uncoordinated as you think. Your just not familiar with dance yet. Good Luck

i’m going to join the talent show at my school this year and i need to learn how to dance in less than a couple of days, do you know any good websites where i can learn dance moves?

Um, dancing takes time to learn but you could try checking youtube. I would do something that you already know how to do and is one of your talents.

What are good ways to learn how to dance?

i’m asking this because i am hispanic and i would like to learn to dance more. every time i try to dance the movement is always stiff. so if you know any good ways to learn how to dance please let me know.

Really the best way is to take lessons. I started doing Salsa last year and it’s been a lot of fun. When I started, I felt like I was in a Saturday Morning Cartoon. I was stiff and really klutzy. But I started out with a beginning class once a week last January and now I’m up to 5 – 6 nights a week and taking private lessons.

I would start out in a beginning class of what ever style you want to take. That way every one is a beginner and it won’t feel too uncomfortable. Then it’s a matter of practice practice practice

How can I learn how to dance like Chris brown?

Im upset because I do not know how to learn to dance like Chris brown can somebody please help and where does he get all of his dance moves?

um.. now that i thnik about it, i think chris brown’s moves are mainly hip hop and lots of popping, maybe even a little krump. Check out youtube, there are great dances, or maybe watch his dances and try to copy them.
Popping is challenging at first, but after you pratice, you’ll get it
First try copying some of his moves, and once you copied a good amount of dances, you will come up with your own choreography… haha i know thats how i started… haha

You don’t need a regular partner, if that’s what you mean, but ballroom is partner dancing, and it isn’t about the figures but rather about the connection and communication between the partners. If you were to learn all the figures and do them perfectly, you still wouldn’t have begun to learn to dance ballroom. As a matter of fact, a lady learning all the figures on her own would almost certainly have a strong tendency to try to anticipate the figure led by the man, a major sin.

How can I learn to dance to reggaeton music?

I am mexican myself. I want to learn to dance because my boyfriend is also mexican himself. I want to dance with him such as grinding or shaking your hips and such like people dance in Reggaeton music. Is there any tutorials to how to dance to that music? I can’t find any.

First of All Mexican aka mixican is not Race. You really have three races in the World. You got to get you Mandingo make him your man you can dance.
