Why they have so little time to learn a routine at So You Think You Can Dance?

By admin · Saturday, March 6th, 2010

I heard the judges saying more than once that the contestants learned a routine in several hours, like 5 hours and a half…There’s a week difference between one show and another…why they give it so little time though?

that’s part of being a dancer, you have to be qiuck at picking up coreography and good at perfecting it. To be America’s Best Dancer you have to hold all the qualities a dancer should have. No coreographer wants to work with someone who’s slow at picking up coreography, it’s to slow. They’ll find someone better if they’re not fast enough at learning it.

People on SYTYCD are being evaluated as America’s Best Dancer, meaning they better be quick at learning coreogrpahy and amazing at preforming it.

I think if you can learn it in like 5 hours it shows real dedication to the audition and dancing, and if they have a time-limit it shows the quality of choreography and it probably makes it more fair that way.
