I would like to take private dance lessons, how do I find someone to give them to me?

Posted on Sunday in dance lessons | by

I looked everywhere and all the dance studios in my area don’t have a class that goes along with my schedule. How do I find a dance studio or dance teacher that’s willing to give me private lessons?

depends on where you live, and what type of lessons you’re looking for….if you list your town/city and type of dance lessons you’re interested in, i can help you.

also, however, be advised that *private* lessons, if even available, are going to be *very* costly as compared to group lessons, unless you go to someone who’s giving private lessons out of their house…if so, be very careful – may not be a great idea – both for your personal safety and issues regarding insurance coverage.

put an ad in the paper or craigs list, but watch out for the people answering the ad. make sure you see them in public or you’ll be sorry

you could look for someone on the phonebooks, you know the business ones where they advertise stuff or on newspapers but phonebooks are more reliable…=D

if you go to a local dance studio, you could get a list of names they suggest of somewhat advanced dancers at their studio and i bet you could get private lessons from one of them.

You can always ask a friend if she/he knows someone. If you live in Vancouver you could search up some local dancing academies and just ask them if they can fir you in to your schedule. One I suggest is ‘Dance Express’ in Burnaby, Canada. That is where I dance and everyone is amazing!

Did you ask about private lessons? Most studios have classes going on from 4-9. Because that is when kids are available. It is going to depend more on when a dance room is open. They will have more time in the day time or late Saturdays

go to, or call, a local dance studio and ask if they offer them.
if they do check it out, most places offer a 1st time free trial.
if they don’t do the same with other places.
they might offer you more opportunities if you have dance experience (technique, stamina, skill)

    hope i helped

Visit a studio or ask friends and find a really good teacher. Then call her or ask the studio to have them call you. A lot of teachers have time allotted to give private lessons. It’s more expensive then just class, but you will learn more at your own pace.
