Footballers and basketballers etc always say that their sport is more competative and physical but dance requires you to use evry muscle in your body at different times. If you do ballet en pointe then you will have far stronger ankles than any sports person

I think that dance is only a sport if it is competition. The word "sport" has to involve competition. But I believe that all forms of dance are difficult and demanding physical activities. Especially ballet, seeing as it requires sever training and technique. I have respect for any serious dancer and the ability they posses.

Yes I believe it’s a sport. If you did swimming or soccer you would get stronger muscles. I do ballet and I have stronger muscles too. I may look small but I can lift my friends up and walk around with them for a few minutes. You also need to stretch before and after dancing, like other sports.
