Why does Dancing with the Stars continue to allow Len Goodman to be racist towards Mya?

He didn’t discriminate against Mel B. (Scary Spice). He probably sees something you don’t. Remember he actually knows how the dances should be performed.

Len has a problem, and I can’t figure it out. I agree with you, I too feel disheartened, and do not want to watch the show anymore.. I can’t remember how Len treated Mel, but her biggest competition was Helio.

I am so sick of Len and his treatment of certain folks of color. I want to say he is racist, but he did like Laila and Emmit. So I think he favors the athletes but not the entertainers… I recall that he has been super critical of some black entertainers that danced well, i.e. Lil Kim, and Mario. I am not including Jerry Rice or Master P, bc I did not think they were great dancers.. I do not remember how he treated Mel, Monique or Vivica… do any of you remember if Len liked Mel or Monique?? the ones that stand out are Mario, Lil Kim and now Mya.

He gives Michael Irvin, a higher score than Mya 2 wks in a row… and we all know that Michael has no chance of winning.. It is frustrating to watch, and I don’t feel like watching the show anymore.

I believe it is very clear that Len does not like hip-hop singers. Many racists have complex hierarchies which allow them to find minorities acceptable in some instances but completely unacceptable in others. He can deal with black athletes and Mel B was a Brit which may have made her more palatable for him. But Black singers and especially hip-hop singers can never please him. Len’s treatment of Mario 2.0 was bizarre, hateful and unexplainable. Monique could do nothing to satisfy Len. When commenting on Black celebs he uses words like "wild" or "unrefined" to criticize or compliments them on the "party dances". Black athletes make sense to Len but Black ballroom dancers do not. It will be interesting to see how he treats the very elegant and refined Mya.

EDIT: I just realized it was your question I answered before and I read what you wrote about him defending a guy who made a racist statement. Well you know what maybe your right hes a biggot… I wouldnt put it past him, but I know people wont see it, but you never know. He could most definitely be one, I mean why on earth would he like JOanna then, maybe its her blond hair fake boobs light eyes…

I answered a question like this before and I did not think he was being racist or discriminating, I simply thought he was F@cking D!Ck… but now I kind of think maybe he is discriminating, but maybe not based on skin color alone. I mean Michael is African American, and people on this site keep saying he treated Mel B good (but then again some say its cus shes British) Who knows, what his reason is but he is clearly wrong, I don’t care what anyone says. Someone here said she performed bad, first off SHE DID NOT, but second even when others perform worst than her len scores them better or the same. He is just a D!CK period, he has something against her I dont know why, I dont know if its race, or doesnt like pretty girls or her curly hair, or maybe he’s mad cus shes actually the best dancer hands down NO ARGUMENT HERE!!!! did you guys see her yesterday during the paso group, granted that group wasnt the best BUT she danced the same and at the same level as the professional dancers. She can dance with the best, you cant say that about anyone else on that show , not even donny who is the only other good one… and PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE can we get rid of anorexic, fake boobies, fake lips skinny nose PLEASE< she has no rhythm… ugh they should discriminate against her nor rhythm self instead lol….
