How does the beading stay on the Dancing with stars dresses?

The sequins and beads are hand sewn to the dress…

And the dresses are repaired FREQUENTLY !!!

I was a stage-hand for an amusement park theater in the 70’s & 80’s, and we had MANY sequinned / beaded costumes… they were hauled away each night by the costumers: dry-cleaned, repaired, and pressed.

Costumers had a 8pm to 4am shift… YUCK

it take lots and lotsof time. everything is done by hand, and they have many people working on them.
you sew on the sequins by hand. and you reenforce it a lot
