Well, as for the dress you can choose what you want. When you look at what the ladies in DWTS wear, some wear dresses that are rather formal, some are "in-between" and some other are really extravagant.

Here are some examples:

For the shoes, you can wear some nice sandals, like these:

It could also be closed-toe but whatever you choose, keep in mind that you are going to dance with them so keep the heel not too high.

for the make-up, keep it simple (don't forget that as you will be dancing, you will certainly sweat and sweat and make-up is not a good combination ;-) ).

for your hair, I think that a bun or a braid will be fine

and finally, the most important part: long satin gloves (the rule is: the shorter the sleeve of your dress, the longer the gloves)! Many female dancers wear ones so it's nearly a requisite and it only has advantages: it's elegant, classy (so it will make your outfit special), sexy and it's great to keep your hands off the (possibly) sweaty (and greasy sometimes :s) hands of your partner ;-) (and the boy will certainly not complain of the opportunity that he gets to hold the sweet and soft hands that you will get by wearing these gloves ;-) ). And as you arms will move because of the dancing, I recommend you to choose ones that are tight enough, because it will saves you from having to pull them each 5 minutes, which will be annoying for you.

I can only wish you to have a lot of fun at your dance!

    find a short formal dress,
    maybe in a darker color.
    or a bright color.
    wear your hair curled.
    wear heals.
    or sandals.
    and wear a silver necklace.

    MAKEUP

maybe go for a smokey look.

or go for a natural look with clear mascara. light pink blush, and light pink lipstick. a little bit of eyeshadow to match your dress.
